All About Laser Hair Removal
The laser sends gentle, light energy through layers of skin which is then absorbed by the hair follicle and hair shaft. The energy destroys the cells that produce hair growth, leaving your skin soft, clean and beautiful. No bumpy ingrown hairs, fuzziness or irritation.
1. We start with a consultation. Our laser expert will run a series of questions such as if you are pregnant or on a certain kind of medication, searching for possible factors that can affect the result of laser treatment or even stop you from having it.
2. A quick patch test on the same day of the laser session (or prior to it) is performed to monitor the area for any unusual reactions and changes, like redness or any pain. This is important to make sure that your treatment will be safe and comfortable for you.
3. After getting a positive result of your patch test the treatment starts.
a. Our therapist provides you with a pair of safety glasses to protect your eyes from a bright flash of light the laser gives off when it zaps the hair follicle.
b. Our laser expert sets the intensity of the laser which can differ for women and men, also depending on your hair type and kind of area you are wishing to treat.
c. The treated area is covered with a cold gel to make it easier for the head of the laser to glide along and protect your skin.
d. The treatment is performed for a certain amount of time depending on the chosen area and amount of hair.
e. After your treatment is complete aloe vera gel is always applied to the area to soothe and calm the skin.
Result – in few days after your first few treatments you will notice the hairs starting to fall out.

The laser treatments are absolutely pain-free even for someone with a pretty low pain threshold. You might feel something like a light pinching and it might be more intense in certain areas where the skin tends to be more sensitive such as along your bikini line but as the sessions go on and the hair decreases, the feeling diminishes too.
One session is recommended every four weeks to catch the hair in its correct stage of growth.

DO shave in between treatments and right before it. This is the best way to quickly remove hair without damaging the root.
DON’T wax, epilate or pluck your hair in between treatments as it removes the hair from the root. Lasers work because they are attracted to the hair’s pigment underneath the skin and if it is completely gone, there won’t be anything there for the laser to zap.
DO avoid sun exposure and UV tanning.
DO exfoliate the area gently from the 5th days after your treatment as it encourages the dead roots to fall out after every treatment and will make your skin look less bumpy and shadowy.
